Chicago Friday Photo: Ferris Wheel at Navy Pier

CENTENNIAL WHEEL - Ferris Wheel at Navy Pier

Took this picture in 2017 summer!

For those who don’t know, Navy Pier’s Centennial Wheel so called Ferris wheel is one of the iconic parts of the Chicago skyline.

Almost exactly 110 years after the original wheel was demolished, a new Ferris wheel opened on Navy Pier in 2016.

Both the 1995 and the 2016 wheels were manufactured by Dutch Wheels. Known as the Centennial Wheel, the new attraction measures 196 feet in height and has 42 gondolas.

Navy Pier’s Ferris Wheel can get you to 200 feet high to enjoy 360 degree views of Chicago and Lake Michigan from Navy Pier.

Ferris Wheel’s enclosed gondolas are perfect way to enjoy panoramic views of Chicago anytime of the year – yes even in winter!

Illinois residents, you can plan your visit on Tuesday through Thursday, November 1st through March 31st to get special seasonal pricing on tickets.

Planning for something special in Chicago? You can take advantage of Centennial Wheel VIP Gondola Buy-out! This VIP Gondola Buy-Out includes admission for up to four guests to board the Ferris Wheel’s VIP gondola with glass bottom.

I would say, perfect option to celebrate special occasions such as birthday or anniversary!

I would say, a trip to Navy Pier is not complete without visiting Ferris Wheel, the Pepsi Wave Swinger, Carousel and more at Pier Park!
Admission ticket to the Centennial Wheel is included with Go Chicago Card!

If you are planning a visit to Chicago then I recommend you to purchase one of the Chicago attraction passes to save money on admission to Chicago’s top attractions and tours.

Go Chicago Card includes not only 14-story Centennial Wheel ride tickets but also all thrill and fun kids rides at the pier park!
