Pasta D’Arte Trattoria Italiana

Pasta D’Arte Trattoria Italiana – One of the good Italian restaurants for a dinner in Norwood Park. Every day I drive past the restaurant and always kept on planning to visit Pasta D’Arte someday. I have noticed that on Friday evenings place seems to get busy, as it is on my way from work to home.

I visited Pasta D’Arte for lunch last week from work. At first, let me warn you, be ready to drive around little bit to find a street parking as restaurant doesn’t have their own parking. It took us sometime to find a parking spot near restaurant. But, I didn’t know that restaurant offers valet parking. I would recommend you to go for Valet parking, especially if you are planning to go there for a dinner.

Pasta D’Arte restaurant has variety of Italian dishes, especially different kinds of Pasta dishes. I would say that you are assured to enjoy good ambiance and excellent food at Pasta D’Arte, however I wouldn’t promise you for not getting your order messed up at the restaurant. Yes, my order was messed up, it was extremely unsatisfactory compared to my high expectations from the first impression that I got the moment I entered. I am sure it doesn’t happen all the time, but still surprisingly it was not busy time at all, oh well, may be one of those days when your order gets messed up, but at the end food quality matters!

Soup Side at Pasta Darte Italian Restaurant

I went for lunch with friend at Pasta D’Arte, place was quiet empty during lunch hours. I was not surprised at all, as I got the idea that spot is more for dinner than lunch, but still considerably there were enough people for lunch. From outside restaurant may not catch your attention, as it is next to residential condominiums, but the inside décor at Pasta D’Arte is kind of modern cozy, gloomy, kind of perfect for a dinner. We were greeted by staff and got a table immediately as restaurant was not full at all. Restaurant menu is mainly focused on different kinds of Pastas, Salads and other authentic Italian dishes. From restaurant name, I already made up mind for the food before even I went there, yes, pasta for lunch!

Fresh Bread and Virgin Olive Oli at Pasta D'Arte Italian Restaurant

We were served with complimentary hot bread with cheese and extra virgin olive oil. Yum, it was a really good start at the restaurant. Bread was fresh and hot! I am usually not a bread person but couldn’t stop! We ordered two different kinds of pasta dishes: Linguini Aglio-Olio E Pepperoncino with Chicken and from lunch special menu, Linguini Aglio Olio e Broccoli. You have a choice to add Broccoli, Chicken, Sausage and/or Shrimp for additional cost. I requested to add Chicken for my order.

Linguini Aglio Olio e Broccoli is made with linguini pasta tossed in an extra virgin olive oil & shaved garlic sauce w/ steamed broccoli. My Linguini Aglio-Olio E Pepperoncino is made with Linguini tossed with extra virgin olive oil, garlic and crushed red pepper, and as per my order it should have Chicken.

We didn’t have to wait too long for food. We got our order quickly, but I was disappointed as I noticed that my order was missing Chicken. Server was kind enough to take my dish to kitchen and toss chicken when I complained! Honestly, I prefer Chicken to be cooked together when pasta is getting prepared compared to get Chicken tossed later in already made dish! You know exactly what I am talking about!

My disappointment didn’t last longer as food was amazing! Food portions are huge, so bring your appetite! I usually do not eat too much for lunch, so I had to ask for to-go boxes. Our pastas were amazing, great balance of spices and flavors. I would say, I have never had this kind of Italian food around the area! Our both orders of Pastas were amazing in taste, you may find your food little bit oily, but I believe authentic Italian style pastas has to be made that way using more olive oil!

I recommend you to visit restaurant at least once as I can speak of good quality and taste of the food! Don’t get disappointed if your order gets messed up, because even messed up order will definitely taste good at Pasta D’Arte! 🙂

Pasta D’Arte BYOB on Monday

Pasta D’Arte offers wide variety of wines and drinks menu. I was tempted to grab a glass of wine, too bad, I had to go back to work so I couldn’t! On Mondays, restaurant has BYOB offer, which let you bring your own bottle for $15.

Let’s forget for a second that initially my order was missing Chicken, I would say overall, you are assured to get good quality Italian dishes with great taste, which you can get at very few restaurants in Chicago!
I would say one of the best Italian cuisine, offering authentic Italian dishes!

Pasta D’Arte is located at 6311 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60646in Norwood Park.
