There are plenty of dining options available near Art Institute of Chicago, but I would recommend you to check out historic upscale The Gage gastropub on Michigan Ave and the Miller’s Pub located on Wabash Ave.
I recommend you to try one of those food trucks between Millennium Park and the Art Institute of Chicago to enjoy the local flavors.
