Chicago city features many world famous museums and zoos, including the Field Museum of Natural History, The Art Institute, The Museum of Science and Industry, and many similar. Spending time exploring museums in Chicago can be fun for you and your friends & family.

Many of us are not aware that general admission fees to museums are increasing recently. Last year, the Shedd Aquarium, The Field Museum of Natural History and the Museum of Contemporary Art increased admission tickets price. Of course, you can save money on admission to these world renowned museums through Go Chicago Card or Chicago City Passes, but if you can get entry for free then why not?

Yes, there are certain days when popular Chicago museums allow free admission to Illinois residents and selected museums allow free admission to everyone. Bank of American Museum on US Program

If you are Bank of America account cardholder then you can get one free general admission to following museums on the first full weekend of every month. You must present your Bank of America or Merrill Lynch credit or debit card with photo identification to get free admission. I recommend you to check with the museum prior to your visit to make sure your free admission. Free general admission is limited to the cardholder only!
